Social Media and Website Supervisor

Description

Job Purpose:
To manage and update Zain website and Social Media platforms according to Group’s unified policies and procedures; and align all communication with media relations strategy internally and externally
Key Tasks/Accountability:
  • Post various products to the appropriate networks and identify which products should be disseminated to which networks.

    2. Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties.

    3. Develop SOPs on current tasks and collaborate to develop and implement a new dissemination platform.

    4. Gather requirements and work with IT staff to improve processes and tools.

    5. working with a cross-departmental team maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties.

    6. Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, and events.

    7. Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference.

    8. Track and report on all site metrics.

    9. Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors.

    10. Copyedit and proofread all web content.

    11. Develop briefing materials on production processes, including classification guides and sourcing guides.

    12. Provide analytical support for the creation of information sharing policies and procedures.
    13. Create, develop and manage content for organizations web presence (requires working with content management software).
  • 14. Coordinate web projects across departments.

    15. Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, monitoring, responding, measuring, and reporting.

    16. Demonstrate an ability to receive strategic direction and adapt for use across multiple social media platforms.

    17. Monitor the web for mentions and interactions that involve and/ or are relevant to our client brands and products.
18. Report, strategize, and appropriately engage within the strategic guidelines laid out in the client’s strategic planning documents.

19. Regularly provide feedback and insights gained from social media monitoring.

20. Ability to translate large amounts of data regarding a particular subject and to provide basic analysis and reasoning for trends.

21. Identify, follow, monitor, and interact with online influencers across multiple platforms in alignment with client goals and strategic objectives.

22. Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

23. Advocate for the success of Company and its various campaigns.

24. Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications.


25. To be fully accountable for the quality, accuracy timeliness and effectiveness of statistical reports.

26. Set and agree performance objectives for whole social media team and track individual performance for the team.

27. Plan work of the social media team, responsible for team shift scheduling and close monitoring for attendance, breaks and leaves.

28. Undertake formal and informal coaching sessions, and “in the moment”.

29. To manage, develop staff and Identify training needs under his/her directs supervision.
Typical Performance Measures:
-Demonstrate a penchant for proper grammar, correct spelling, and proofing.

- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results .

- Experience in gathering relevant data points from multiple sources for use in producing client reporting documents.

- Ability to provide analysis and accountability for account results and achievements.

- Comprehends, authors, and, proofs strategic technical documents and proposals for social media and digital services

What Do You Need to Qualify



Qualifications:
- Educated to Degree level

- Relevant Professional Social Media and Communication qualification is mandatory

- Minimum 2 years previous experience of a Junior role (Media/ PR/Communication) in a private sector organization is mandatory

- International management experience preferred

- Ability to communicate well in Arabic and English is mandatory

- Team leadership qualities, strong writing skills, strong communications and presentation skills, detail oriented, self-starter, excellent organizational skills, excellent news judgment, multitasked, people management skills, creative, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, networking skills

- In-depth understanding of major elements of the Social Media/Communication/Conventional Media mix

- In-depth understanding of the Sudan market and Zain business strategy, goals and competitive environment

- In-depth knowledge of current best practice in Social Media and Communication methods and approaches
- Knowledge of creating and developing Social Media strategy

- Relevant IT experience
