Head of Credit Risk & Collections

Zain Bahrain is actively recruiting applicants for its Fintech Subsidiary in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

What Do You Need to Qualify

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify, report and work on mitigating any arising risk (i.e. liquidity risks, operational risks…)
  • Conduct risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends.
  • Work collaboratively with the executive team on the adoption of risk controls & mitigation plans.
  • Create, review and monitor the company's risk register including mitigation strategies
  • Assist management in major decision making to ensure decisions are compliant with all The Kingdom of Bahrain / CBB regulations
  • Understand the risk impact impact of current and proposed practices/directions applicable to the Kingdom of Bahrain regulations on the organization
  • Develop & implement the required policies, processes and controls to manage all arising risks while making sure to comply with relevant CBB laws, rules & regulations
  • Enhance risk awareness across the organization

Ideal background
  • Bachelors degree in Risk Management, Finance or related field required
  • 8+ years of experience in Risk/Compliance in the banking/fintech sector with at least 3-4 years of experience at a managerial role
  • Up to date with all CBB laws, rules & regulations
  • Self-starter with the ability to define clear objectives relating to compliance and regulatory challenges
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex issues and influence their audience
  • Excellent analytical abilities with good business judgment
