What Do You Need to Qualify

Job Purpose:

Responsibilities of a Big Data Trainee include analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns and analyze trends to make better business decisions.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assisting in the implementation of database optimization techniques
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
  • Assist in designing the architecture of a big data platform
  • Maintain data pipelines in terms of data storage
  • Assist in the management of integration tools and databases
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Support the team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of databases.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or any other related field.
  • Bahraini nationals.
  • University graduates.
  • Exceptional academic record is a plus.
  • Job related professional certificate(s) is a plus.
  • Job related experience up to 3 years is a plus.
  • Age between 21-27 years old.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fresh graduate within 3 years of graduation.
  • Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
  • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) preferred
  • Fluent in English; strong Arabic skills is preferred.

  • Proven ability to work with others successfully within a team.
  • Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Ability to liaise effectively and coordinate successfully with internal and external stakeholders and other third parties.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with broad, general responsibilities, but with specialist data analytics subject skills.
  • Strong understanding of the operational workings of data analytics elements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and time management skills.
