Manager, Financial Operations

Description

Lead and manage the day-to-day financial operations that includes accounts payables and receivables, revenue, inventory and fixed assets; ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and proper maintenance of accounting records, financial systems and reports.

What Do You Need to Qualify

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage all financial operations processes with a primary focus on leveraging technology and automation to increase efficiency, accuracy, compliance and governance.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and IFRS standards.
  • Experience and knowledge of IFRS-15 including function and operating knowledge of Fusion Revenue Management module of Oracle.
  • Maintain a proper system of accounts and records on all transactions including controls.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts to analyse performance gap with budgets and present to the Director.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, fixed assets and backup reports.
  • Provide useful financial & operational insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing organizational strategy.
  • Provide guidance and analysis to executive and operational management to improve financial results.
  • Manage and participate in month-end closing procedures which includes account reconciliation.
  • Participate in issuing timely, accurate, and complete financial statements for management.
  • Participate in coordinating the preparation of the draft audited financial statements and monthly tax returns.
  • Develop and implement Financial Operations function policies and procedures in order to ensure the fulfilment of organizational requirements whilst delivering high-quality services
  • Review the reconcilition between collection channels, Oracle and billing systems in order to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Manage the processing of invoices and payments by verifying documentation and perform reconciliation and rectification of discrepancies in payment transactions
  • Analyze the Zain’s financial and operational position based on past, present, future, and budgeted levels that utilizes variance analysis, benchmarks, productivity targets, cost, supply consumption and established plans.
  • Provide financial models as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and end of year closing of all ledgers and accounts to ensure timeliness and accuracy of accounts
  • Ensure end of month closing is properly reflected in GL and maintain, manage and monitor GL accurately.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Prepare a variety of ad hoc financial reports or related duties as required and needed.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of relative experience.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CPA is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Oracle ERP system is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of data analytics tools such a Tableau is a plus.
