The job holder is responsible for managing the Marketing & Corporate Communications activities including understanding customer needs, developing and managing relationships with media communications partners, and enhancing Zain brand guidelines.


Strategy Management:

  • Set related section performance objectives, in coordination with head of related division, and continuously monitor progress and development towards organizational and section strategic objectives and communicate periodic performance reports to provide evaluation results and recommend improvements                                         

Function and Team Management:

  • Implement and suggest improvement to related section policies, process and standard operating procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled                                    

  • Review key performance indicators results, suggest improvement and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed                                              

Marketing and Corporate Communications Management:

  • Provide subject matter expert in the Marketing and Corporate Communications area                                      

  • Manage relationships with local and international newspapers, television, radio, other media communications partners and partner agencies to ensure business objectives and deliverables are met

  • Supervise evaluation of agency performance and recommend contract renewal                                 

  • Manage the evaluation and approval of agencies proposals and quotations taking into consideration the quality, price, delivery and service factors                                            

  • Supervise the annual media, communications and Manasek yearly communications calendar to enhance reputation and awareness                                          

  • Develop and enhance Zain brand guidelines on regular basis for improvement purposes                                

  • Develop brand communication strategy for company-wide communication purposes                                      

  • Manage translation of commercial and brand strategies into yearly tactics and media buying strategies driven by offline, digital, retail, on-ground, and direct channels for performance management purposes

  • Monitor media campaigns success/performance and liaise with Customer Experience to evaluate impact on customers                                          

  • Monitor success of CSR events, sponsorship, communication and marketing initiatives and identify ways to enhance Zain image                                       

  • Supervise Public Relations activities through developing and maintaining relationships (dinners, gifts, visits, protocols, etc.) and participate in appropriate forums to raise awareness and recognition of Zain brand achievements

  • Manage crisis responses ensuring proper message development and branding                                    

  • Supervise Zain’s sponsorship and social responsibility strategies related to culture, education, health, sports and technology in order to widen Zain's brand awareness                                            

People Management:

  • Act as a focal point between staff and head of related division to enhance internal communication

  • Motivate staff, assist in conducting the performance and conduct guidance on training programs to maximize employees' performance             




  • Bachelor's Degree \ Master's Degree is Preferable in Business Administration, Marketing or Equivalent

  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience with at least 2 to 4 years in a similar role
