Job Purpose::

To ensure that the division is operational round the clock and to maintain best grade of service to our customers in terms of network availability and performance, through existing tools and resources.

To implement Marketing requirements and participate in achieving objectives set in the business plan.

Main Responsibilities::

  • Ensure that objectives, plans, policies, programs are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that the IN is operated and maintained to world class standards to maximize availability and system performance; interface with equipment suppliers to verify that the company is receiving high quality systems and technical support.
  • Maximizing the utilization of the IN system;   Provision of advise and recommendations of any new functions that can be provided. 
  • Carry out appropriate tests on all new equipment introduced into the network prior to commercial launch.
  •  To take pre-emptive measures based on analysis of system statistics to maintain quality of service and availability. 
  • To ensure that accurate and measurable targets are in place to assess the performance and contribution towards the corporate goals of the company.
  • Fault Management – to monitor, handle and resolve faults that may occur in the network elements. 
  • Performance management – To generate statistics reports periodically, and on demand. 
  • Follow up on actions and measures taken by related teams to resolve outstanding issues. 
  • Coordinate planned work and assist related teams to implement changes. 
  • Participate in mid and long term plans in the division.
  • Implement Marketing requirements and participate in defining system specifications to meet Marketing needs.
  • To resolve the customer complaints within the agreed SLAs.
  • To carry out routine checks and system health check. 
  • To handle the service engineering tasks between business units and suppliers.
  • Handling the system and service upgrades in co-ordination with vendor support.

 

Education and Experience::

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Experience with: Unix, ORACLE (SQL), Networking
  • IN related technical trainings
  • 3 years experience in GSM field or related areas.
