The jobs in this level are responsible for developing and amending contracts and other legal documentation and assisting supervisor in the day-to-day legal activities. Jobs in this family are also responsible of ensuring that Zain internal practices are in line with rules and legislations.


Compliance :

  • Implement and suggest improvements to the Legal Affairs policies and procedures .                       

Function and Team Management :

  • Supervise and coach team members to ensure optimal performance is achieved and provide improvement recommendations as required.                               
  •   Review Zain policies, procedures and code of conduct/ethics to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct which may have negative legal implications .                                 

Legal Affairs :

  • Develop new contracts and annexes or amendments to contracts and other different legal instruments (i.e. NDAs, Notices, etc.) ensuring legality .                                      
  • Investigate facts related to legal cases to determine causes of action in preparation of the legal cases  .                            
  • Assist in conducting investigations of all grievances and complaints submitted internally in order to take appropriate legal action  .                                 
  •  Follow-up on Zain technical and non-technical projects ensuring adherence to contract terms and conditions     .                             
  • Represent Zain in cases and court hearings raised in favor or against Zain before judicial bodies in the different regions .                                      
  • Prepare case reports for all case hearings attended and send to owner Departments and Group Legal (as and when required)  .                            
  • Assist in reporting on the performance of outsourced law firms to decide on contract renewal  .                                  
  • Report findings of legal operating risks during agreements, acquisitions, projects and new business ventures that may affect Zain’s operations and/or legal framework locally and regionally .                                        
  • Answer complex/non-routine legal queries received from Zain internal stakeholders ensuring clarification of confusing texts and adherence to legal rules and policies .                                       
  •  Assist in supervising a range of legal activities concerning incidents/inquiries/cases/disputes .                                     
  • Assist in drafting legal letters, memorandums and other correspondences for internal and external legal affairs matters  .                            
  • Assist in providing legal support in case of  investigations by the CITC Telecom Act Violations Committee.                                       
  •    Develop reports on the status of violations or decisions considered by the CITC Telecom Act Violations Committee, litigation reports, contract registers and a register of legal opinions to provide management with the necessary information for reporting and decision-making purposes  .                                    
  • Review the latest legal rules, regulations and laws that impact legal contracts and cases and update Group Legal on new rules and regulations of KSA for referencing  .                                 
  • Maintain confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information .                                  


  • Bachelor's Degree of Law or Equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year in a similar role.
