I am a Marketing Leader and have been working in the telecom sector since 2006. My skills set extends to crafting successful competitive and business strategies yielding a major commercial turnaround in revenue, market share and cost efficiency.

I have gained experience in extremely competitive markets where employing unconventional commercial strategies established market leadership and set new benchmarks for product and service innovation.

I have a strong sense of personal commitment to the development of my team and have been recognized for my decision making capabilities along with my ability to deliver positive results.

A number of my highlights while working for Zain Sudan include the development of a VAS rollout strategy between 2007 to date, focusing on increasing ARPU and the differentiation of services. ARPU (VAS) increased two-fold as a result of the successful VAS strategy.

I have also been involved in the launch and management of several SMS, MMS and IVR based information and content services. I helped implement and develop the first-ever dual language SIM Toolkit in English and Arabic, which resulted in tremendous uptake of SMS based content services and a four-fold increase in unique users.

My team has implemented real-time prepaid and postpaid content billing (MSDP includes SMS, MMS, WAP), and have developed a business case and rollout strategy for the introduction of new services.

As a team leader I have also been involved in the negotiation and development of go-to-market strategies for over a dozen IN (Intelligent Network) features and VAS (including ring-back tone “L7inna”, and entertainment services).
